Pipedrive recommends that you copy the data into another spreadsheet and paste it into a new sheet (which will be the one you will import) without the formulas. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Single tab spreadsheet.<\/strong>  It is important that your spreadsheet only has a single tab with data when importing. If you have multiple tabs, split them into individual files so that you can import them one at a time.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Eliminates special characters.<\/strong>  Your spreadsheet should not contain numeric or currency field symbols such as the &#8220;$&#8221; symbol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Be careful with the size of your spreadsheet.<\/strong>  The maximum size for importing your file is 50MB with a maximum of 50,000 columns within your sheet.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are not sure about your data structure vs Pipedrive&#8217;s data structure<\/strong>, you can start with <strong>a sample template<\/strong> to find the way that suits you best to get started.<strong>You can download some sample spreadsheet templates provided by Pipedrive <a href=\"https:\/\/support.pipedrive.com\/es\/article\/importing-sample-import-spreadsheets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. <\/strong>  <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h2_2\">Mandatory and custom fields<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"h3_3\">Required fields<\/h3>\n<p>Pipedrive asks you for <strong>some mandatory fields for each element<\/strong> at the time of import so that the import is done correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Each of these <strong>should be in a separate column in your spreadsheet<\/strong> and will be mapped individually in the Pipedrive field.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Be very careful with these fields!<\/strong> <strong>If you do not import the data with the required fields correctly,<\/strong> the items you have created <strong>will not be created<\/strong> <strong>and a skip file will be generated<\/strong> that includes the row where the error occurred and the reason so you can download it and review the errors to re-upload or import it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The mandatory fields<\/strong> you need to import are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prospects:<\/strong> Prospect title and name of contact person or organization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deals:<\/strong> Any deal field, name of the contact\/organization and preferably also the title or name of the deal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Persons:<\/strong> Name of the person with their respective contact information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organization:<\/strong> Name of the organization with its respective contact information and address.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Products:<\/strong> Product name.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Notes:<\/strong> Content and information on deals, contacts or prospects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Actions:<\/strong> Field delimiting any actions taken with that deal\/contact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"h3_4\">Custom fields<\/h3>\n<p>These fields are perfect <strong>if you have additional information about your prospects, deals and contacts.<\/strong> In this situation what you should do is <strong>add the field you require as a &#8220;Custom Field&#8221;<\/strong> before importing your data so that it is mapped correctly.<\/p>\n<p>To make the mapping more efficient, Pipedrive <strong>recommends that it be a custom field of type text or simple option. <\/strong> <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h2_5\">The time has come! Start importing <\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Upload the file<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>&#8220;&#8230;&#8221; (More)&gt; Import data &gt; From spreadsheet<\/strong>. <br \/>Click on <strong>Load file<\/strong> and select your XLS, XLSX or CSV file.  <\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"1_pipedrive_import\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imanta.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1_importacion_pipedrive.png\" width=\"272\"> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"2_pipedrive_import\" height=\"236\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imanta.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/2_importacion_pipedrive.png\" width=\"591\"> <\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Map the data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Map each column to the relevant icons and fields during the process<\/strong> by <strong>hovering your mouse over the icon<\/strong> to see the type of data Pipedrive is requesting.  <\/p>\n<p>There is an <strong>&#8220;Auto Recognition&#8221; function,<\/strong> which will help you <strong>to automatically recognize the header columns of your spreadsheet.<\/strong> In case they are not done properly you will have to<strong>do it manually by dragging the fields on the right to the columns<\/strong>where they are required.  <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"3_Pipedrive_import\" height=\"314\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imanta.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/3_importacion_Pipedrive.gif\" width=\"597\"> <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Review your items and import<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have uploaded your file, mapped it and added custom fields if required, <strong>you will see a screen where you can check that the data is correct, that there are no duplicate fields and you can see how it will look like after the import is finished. <\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Once you have confirmed this screen,<strong> click on &#8220;Start import&#8221; and that&#8217;s it<\/strong>, your data is ready for you to use<strong>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"5_pipedrive_import\" height=\"211\" src=\"https:\/\/www.imanta.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/5_importacion_pipedrive.png\" width=\"586\"> <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h2_6\">Was there a mistake?
